Peak District Cabins

The cabins have become so popular that we have added to our range of cabins. We have 6 cabins here on the Estate for you to stay in and use. There are 4 accommodation cabins & 2 BBQ Cabins. The cabins are offered as two separate lots. So we can accommodate 2 groups of up to 16 people in each. That provides each group with its own set of sleeping cabins, BBQ cabin and their own kitchen area. The cabins may be booked throughout the year from Mid February to Mid November. They are an improved Nordic design. In Norway it is extremely popular for people to BBQ & sleep in cabins such as these.

Our Sleeping Cabins

The Sleeping cabins are each 14m in diameter and are constructed of 50mm Norwegian pine; this makes them very well insulated and cosy in the colder months but cool in the summer- the best of both worlds.

The cabins have a small covered porch area to leave boots & outdoor clothing and are in the lee of the prevailing wind.

Each sleeping cabin sleeps 8 people & the cabins come as a complete package comprising of the two cabins & the BBQ cabin.

Sleeping arrangements are covered by 8 bunk bed style beds each with their own memory foam mattress which are very comfortable.Each bed is approximately 1.95m long or 6’ 6” so there is plenty of room.

Heating is by a thermostatically controlled oil filled radiator which makes the heating safe,efficient & fume free. Each cabin has a Solar dome to provide natural daylight & lockable double glazed windows that can provide ventilation as & when required.In addition each cabin has 5 lever locking for security.

Our BBQ Cabin

Our BBQ cabin is a 10m diameter purpose built cabin that has a large central BBQ/firepit that vents through the central chimney.

Bench seating with reindeer skins to sit on is around the BBQ and as the walls of the cabin lean outwards you can relax in real comfort whilst cooking and drinking around the central fire.There is additional storage space under the benches.

The BBQ has a number of a additional features over and above your usual bbq. It has vertical supports to hold the smoke cowl in place that double up to provide metal arms that have a fish/meat turning griddle.
There are even picnic style tables that can be detached for putting your plates on & drinks holders.

We provide all the bbq equipment that you need from a bottle opener,bbq tools, cutlery plates and even the salt and pepper.

The BBQ works using charcoal briquettes & we provide these.

Lighting is by LED low voltage lighting and this provides relaxing ambient background lighting.The BBQ cabin has a clock, a thermometer, a carbon monoxide alarm and a fire extinguisher.

Costs and booking

The Cabins & the BBQ Cabin come as a complete package price covering a minimum two night stay ( although for a supplement we can offer a one night stay in some circumstances). There is a maximum occupancy of 16 people, 8 per cabin and soft pillows and luxury quilts are supplied. These super cabins are available to book at the amazing unit price of £385 per cabin per night. A two night stay includes the exclusive use of the BBQ hut, when booking both cabins.

When booking the cabins if you wish we can also arrange breakfasts for you both mornings. If booking a day’s activities with us we can also if required arrange a lunch for you on the Saturday between your activities. Our stay,clay and game day (the game butchery is seasonal so please check for availability) is very popular, as you get to cook the game you prepared earlier in the BBQ hut for your evening meal. Easy as that!

For the comfort and safety of all concerned we have a few simple rules that apply specifically to the cabins & the BBQ cabin.

The Small Print

• We operate a “ clean shoe” policy – please no outdoor boots/shoes inside the cabins.
• Strictly No Smoking in any of the cabins
• No additional fires/heating arrangements to be used under any circumstances. No sleeping in the BBQ cabin.
• No cooking/eating in the sleeping cabins
